First of all, have your final expenses calculated already. Have an idea of how much you will be spending without the moving man and then see where it gets you.
Next, you need to find a company. Your best bet is to look online. You can find websites, reviews, everything you need to choose your movers. Make sure to take a look at reviews from all sorts of sites. This way, if you notice a complaint that really grinds your gears, you know not to use that company. However, it is also up to youupon noticing minor problemswhether or not they are important enough to think over or unimportant enough to overlook.
Once you find a website, get a price list or something else of that nature. Then, find out how much you can spend to get exactly how many helpers, how long you think it will take, etc. Then, look at your final expenses. It's probably looking scary, huh?
This is where you start looking at the luxuries in your life. For example, if you smoke, you may want to cut down. (It may not be a good idea to completely omit it in a time of impending stressit could lead to either a major, ridiculous purchase of the item which removes stress, or other reckless impulses.) Or, if you go out to eat, buy a lot of bottled water, etc, then you could cut these out. Little things can go, but keep the major, important things intact.
See how much you have now. Then, rearrange and change what you had previously. Try and see what the bare minimum you need is. Also keep in mind that most companies charge by the hourso sometimes having more men as opposed to just one can end up being a much better deal. Why? Well, if hours cost thirty pounds (for example), but moving men cost only about fifteen per hour, well, it's a better deal. Not only will it get done quicker but you won't have to pay much for those additional men.
Try to make sure that you have budgeted everything out several different ways several different times. Sure, hiring a moving man and budgeting for it might seem like a big waste of time and a pain in the rear, but it also helps you to see where all of your expenses go and help you to budget in other aspects of your life!
