The Safest Way to Travel

Different people have different views on which form of transport is the safest, using a range of different statistics to back up their views. However, the safest way to travel is upwards. While they may not have quite the same scope as some other forms of transport, elevators are certainly evolving with technology to produce some quite amazing results.

With speed and capability expanding all the time, lifts are fast becoming more than just a tiny way of getting from the first floor to the second. Whether it is lifts that can reach excessive speeds, great glass elevators that travel to great heights along the outside of buildings, or simply ones that can hold up to nearly 100 people, there is sure to be a passenger lift out there that takes your breath away.

Yet, despite the steady pace of many, or the awesome results of others, they still remain the source of great fear for many, the phobia of them outweighing much more dangerous forms of transport.

Whatever the reason, a ride in a passenger lift is almost certainly going to be a perfectly safe way to go. They travel millions and millions of miles every year and cases of accidents, let alone fatalities, are almost unheard of. In fact, when it comes to quoting statistics it may well be easier to say that a passenger lift is safer than any other form of transport.

Not only that, but they still manage to induce a sense of fun that other ways to go just can't beat. It's still quite easy to get a bit of childish excitement every time you step inside, even when you are all grown up. They are never late, there's no traffic jams and you always know you're going to get where you want to go, fast. If only they went everywhere, we wouldn't need anything else...
