Jim Perakis joined IMRS in 1985 and was instrumental in transforming it from a one million dollar company to almost three hundred million dollar Hyperion Solutions Corporation.
Today Hyperion Solutions Corporation has been closed down, but the products it developed are bundled with other products of Oracle. The brand name Hyperion continues to flourish under the patronage of Oracle Corporation.
Like in many other parts of the world Hyperion Softwares and Hyperion solutions are in demand at South Africa. There are many Hyperion solutions providers in this country. Needless to say that they are located in the bigger cities like Johannesburg etc.
Hyperion solution providers varies greatly in the level of solution they provide. While some are little more that Hyperion Software Vendors, others may provide entire range of Hyperion solutions like maintenance, data warehousing etc.
