Ecommerce Designing – How to Get it Right!

Ecommerce has exploded in the recent past and most companies have shifted their offices online to expand their reach to every part of the world. The problem is that this boom, off late, has created a lot of clutter online, with websites offering similar services with no way to differentiate one from the other. Every website design looks like a copy of a copy of a copy and most designers working on online web designing projects seem to have no idea about how to differentiate their products from the thousands that are out there online on the World Wide Web.

The key factor in getting things right in the web world is the knowledge of ecommerce designing and its benefits. Let us take a deeper look and find out some of the most important step that any designer must follow to get the purpose and the blueprint right for their websites.

"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler". Albert Einstein's words still echo in my mind and as a designer it's very important for you to listen & not ignore the great scientist. Just like life, web designs should not be made complex by bringing in clutter into it. Avoid putting in animations and big images. An ideal website is clean and simple, which not only will drive the customer to the website but will also make them stay there and do the necessary shopping. Hence, rule number one of ecommerce designing would be to keep it smooth and simple with a clean layout.

"There are only 3 colors; it's what we do with them that is important". When Jim Rohn quoted these words, he must've been sitting next to graphic design designers working on online web designing projects. Ecommerce websites must not have bold colors and should be pleasing to the eye. The sole purpose of the designer is to satisfy the purpose of the business by creating a pattern that has the ability to bring customers & profits.

"Integrity is what we do, what we say, and what we say we do". Be honest & truthful. Yes this is what Don Galer meant when he quoted these immortal words. A commercial website must offer what it promises to offer without annoying the end user and should be fun to use.
