There are designer shoes that have precious tones with it which means that these surely have very expensive price tags. While it's true that some designer shoe prices can be in this absurd price range, those in the tolerable level are always well-appreciated.

These designers spend large amount of money in research and development to be able to come up with a great looking yet comfortable shoes. A completed shoe still has to go through a lot of other processes including quality control. Of course, ordinary shoes are cheaper than designer shoes. And then of course, people pay huge for designer shoes because of the glamor that is associated with their designers.
