African American Hairstyles: What Is Remi Hair?

Remy hair, also known as Remi hair is becoming one of the most popular types of hair across the board. The actual term "Remy hair" is recognized as being of super high quality hair. Not only is it used in quality hair extensions, but it is also used for full-lace wigs. When it comes time for you to choose to go with the Remy hair, it is of the utmost importance that you make sure it's authentic. If the hair has been refined or chemically treated in any way shape or form - it is not genuine Remy hair! Most of this hair is produced from the hair of Indian women from India.

Hence the reason why most people assume that if it's from India then it MUST be authentic. Unfortunately this isn't true. The hair that is grown, and removed from the head is done so that the cuticles remain intact and that they all face the same direction. This is important because it keeps the hair from becoming matted, tangled or drying out. You can tell if Remy hair that is used for an extensions clip, hair weave, wig or clip hair is truly Remy hair or not. First off, you have to consider the price. If you find the hair on a website and the hair is considerably lower than it really should be, chances are it's not real.

For example, if you find it on most sites for $250 a pack, and you find it on a site for $25, it's probably not genuine hair. Second, it's important that you look at the hair itself. Even if you can only see photos of the hair online, you need to make sure that ALL the hairs are running in the same direction. Lastly, if you can feel the hair up front, it's important to run in between your fingers from top to bottom. It shouldn't feel dry or coarse. Instead, it should feel soft and smooth! If you run your fingers the opposing way, then and only then should it feel rougher.

You can buy hair online using instances 1 and 2. Some sites will offer a sample option, and they will send you some of the hair in the mail so that you can feel it and make sure its of quality - a quality you should expect from Remy hair. If it's not, then you plainly know that this is not a company you should be dealing with for your Remy hair!
