Beyonce Tickets - World's Greatest Pop Star

Beyonce was voted the World's Greatest Pop Star after receiving 100,000 votes from fans. The official result was revealed in front of a live audience at the T4's Stars of 2009 taping at London's Earls Court. In recognition of the honor, a special tribute was performed to honor Beyonce, who came ahead of other pop icons like Britney Spears, Eminem, Pink and Madonna.

Beyonce has been on the music scene for several years now and recently made yet another splash with her tune "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)." She admits that becoming the "World's Greatest Pop Star" was no easy task. The hitmaker plans to take a couple of months off next year to re-energize. Don't miss seeing Beyonce live onstage. Beyonce has become one of the most popular R&B singers on the scene and has enjoyed booming record sales, several Grammy awards and plenty of movie roles. Her success started with a girl group called Destiny's Child, which in itself became one of the hottest bands throughout the 1990s. They racked up dozens of hit songs, including "Say My Name" and "Jumpin' Jumpin'." Beyonce was instantly a star and soon set her sights on pursuing a solo career in the music industry.

After an appearance in the 2002 film Austin Powers in Goldmember, Beyonce released her full-length solo debut album called Dangerously in Love. The record reached multi-platinum status and featured high profile collaborations with Sean Paul, Missy Elliot, Jay-Z and Big Boi. The final product earned Beyonce five Grammy awards.

After a brief collaboration with Destiny's Child before they officially disbanded, Beyonce released her sophomore effort called B'day. The album contained the hits: "Deja vu," "Suga Mama," "Upgrade U" and "Freakum Dress." The album, like the first, was an instant success, and the singer once again set her eyes on the screen for an appearance in the movie musical Dreamgirls.

Beyonce seemed to alter her time between movie appearances and album releases, as 2008 saw her appear as Etta James in the flick Cadillac Records. Her performance won her reviews from critics, as did her third studio album, I Am...Sasha Fierce. The album seemed a far cry from her previous two albums, but was nevertheless filled with upbeat and catchy pop songs, most notably the "Single Ladies" track, which can now be heard at nightclubs around the country.

Beyonce also won the exclusive honor of singing at President Barack Obama's inaugural ball in January 2009. She performed the Etta James song, "At Last" for the new President and First Lady, giving a particularly moving cover of the ballad and earning praise from fans, listeners and the new first couple.

These days Beyonce has become a household name around the world. Her fiery energy and colorful and wild live performances are not to be missed. Check out the next time that this pop sensation is scheduled to appear in a city near you and get your own pair of Beyonce tickets today.
