Keith Urban Tickets - Keith Urban Has A Busy Spring And Summer

Two of the biggest nights in country music are on the horizon-the 45th Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live on April 18 and the 2010 Country Music Television Awards will be held on June 9-and country star Keith Urban is poised to be honored at both awards shows. The Australian import won't have much time to worry about which awards he will win, however, as he is currently on tour.

Urban will stop at scattered U.S. cities and festivals like the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, Country Thunder and Bayou Country Superfest in the coming months. He will also hit the road with the Eagles and the Dixie Chicks this summer. Keith Urban tickets are sure to be major sellers, so get yours online today.

Although the ACM Awards aren't until April 18, The Boot reported on April 6 that the Academy of Country Music announced the winners of a handful of awards voted on by the ACM Board of Directors. Urban was the recipient of the Jim Reeves International Award, which is awarded for "outstanding contributions to the acceptance of country music throughout the world," according to The Boot. Urban follows in the footsteps of past Jim Reeves International Award recipients Buck Owens, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, to name a few. Urban has stopped in six countries spanning three different continents on his recent world tours, making him more than worthy of the honor!

On April 18, Keith Urban will compete for the coveted Entertainer of the Year honor at the ACMs against Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, George Strait, the Zac Brown Band and the lone females in the category: Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. Urban is also nominated in the Top Male Vocalist of the Year category and will vie for the prize against Chesney, Paisley, Strait and country newcomer Darius Rucker (formerly the frontman for Hootie and the Blowfish).

Reba McEntire will host the ACM Awards, which will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and feature performances by the host along with Brooks & Dunn, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Black Shelton and Trace Adkins.

Voting for the first round of nominees for the 2010 CMT Music Awards is currently underway, with the final four nominees in eight categories being announced on May 11 (except for the final nominees for Video of the Year, which will be unveiled at the start of the live show on June 9). Keith Urban's "'Til Summer Comes Around" is among those nominated for the top honor, along with Toby Keith's "American Ride," Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova," Kenny Chesney's "Out Last Night," Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," Zac Brown Band's "Toes," Jason Aldean's "The Truth," Brad Paisley's "Welcome to the Future," Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" and Miranda Lambert's "White Liar."

Keith Urban is also nominated in the Male Video of the Year category at the CMT Awards, also for "'Til Summer Comes Around." The category is rounded out by Darius Rucker's "Alright," Toby Keith's "American Ride," Kenny Chesney's "Out Last Night," Billy Currington's "People Are Crazy," Tim McGraw's "Southern Voice," Jason Aldean's "The Truth" and Brad Paisley's "Welcome to the Future." The ninth annual CMT Music Awards will take place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on June 9, so stay tuned to find out who will be hosting and if Urban will be among the performers!
