Different Styles Of Marquees Available?

There are many different styles of marquees available which can be used to host a number of different occasions from corporate events through to weddings and parties. Marquees provide an easy way to increase the indoor space at any venue and can be erected quickly to provide shelter for all kinds of purposes including presentations, dining, dancing and more.

Frame Marquees

This type of marquee is basically a modern style tent design. The main structure is supported by an aluminium frame which goes around the edge of the tent. This creates a lot of interior and exterior space as it does not require the internal poles and external ropes of traditional tent designs. Frame marquees can be crafted in a number of different styles including traditional square and dome shapes. These marquees are a practical solution for any event and are very versatile as they can be designed in many different sizes. They can also be decorated inside with whatever lighting, furniture, sound system etc that you require. Frame marquees are easy to transport as they can be flat packed and there are no poles or ropes to worry about. These marquees are ideal for town gardens and limited spaces as they can be erected close to exterior boundaries (there are no guy ropes to set up) and so provide the maximum amount of interior space.

Yurts

Yurts can provide an interesting focal point for any event and can be used as both accommodation and relaxation areas. Yurts have been used as dwellings in Central Asia for centuries and are very sturdy practical tents that can be easily warmed to provide dry, comfortable spaces whatever the weather. Yurts are available in sizes up to 10 metres in diameter and provide useful spaces to complement larger marquees at outdoor events.

Katas

Katas (pronounced korta) are versatile, flexible marquee structures that can be used to create large sheltered areas for outdoor functions. Katas can be pitched with the sides up to create a pleasant open air dining space and can be fitted with any type of flooring, lighting and furnishing you require. This is an unusual and attractive alternative to a traditional marquee and katas can also be joined together to create larger interior spaces.

Big Top Circus Tents

This is another unusual option and Big Top Circus Tents are available to hire if you are aiming to create a very unique atmosphere for your event. Big Tops are available in a wide range of different sizes up to around 30 metres wide by 30 metres long and are ideal for shows, festivals and large wedding parities.
