State Limits on Auto Insurance

Uninsured motorists are those who do not have auto insurance, whereas underinsured motorists are those whose insurance limit is too low. About 20 states in the US require insurance coverage for victims of car accidents wherein the person responsible for the accident is either uninsured or has an insurance value not suffice to pay for the damages done. This provision also covers victims of hit-and-run cases.

Although the minimum requirements for auto insurance may vary for different states, having enough to insure one's car is much better than to suffer the charges should accidents occur.
