Review Your Basic Math Again - As there is undoubtedly some form of basic business math you have touched since your undergraduate courses, you will also undoubtedly have forgotten one or two important formulae that will rear their ugly head on the GMAT. Therefore, make sure to ask your college career counselor just what sorts of lessons, drills and problems they will provide to help you remember.
Pick Up A Puzzle Book or Two - This is probably one of the few fun areas in all the prep work. It's also a very serious recommendation. What many test takers really need is the ability to exercise those little gray cells on the left side of the brain. These puzzles are an excellent way to get them back in shape. Look at it this way; it's a productive way to spend one's lunch hour. There is an abundance of information about course online on the web.
Tailor To Your Needs & Take It Slow - Before you start taking your courses, take a test (there are a number of them out there) to find out just what math areas you can use some work on. From there, concentrate on where you are weakest, making sure to give your strengths a proper checkout, too. Math is a meticulous discipline. Taking it slow will pay off when you get your GMAT score back.
