Back when we first got together, I had an old TFal cookware set that worked fine for me. I had it for over 10 years, but she wanted something new. We went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and she immediately started looking at the Calphalon brand. She said this was one of the best brands available. I started to look at the different sets and then I looked at the price. I was amazed at how much money they wanted for the sets. I never knew that good cookware cost so much money. This was something completely new to me, but she looked at me like I was crazy.
Calphalon is a big name in the cooking world. We bought one of the most expensive sets they had for sale that cost just over $500. She didn't think it was a lot of money for a nice set and she pointed out that it came with a lifetime warranty. This was a big sale point for me. All we have to do is call Calphalon if something goes wrong and we will get a new piece or set if it does. That was a great security to have I thought.
The union set has a combined effect of the stainless steel and the regular nonstick. It helps sear whatever you cook in it just like the stainless steel would. Except with this, it is very easy to clean. There is practically nothing that you have to do. You may have to let it soak, but that's really about it.
After it has soaked, you can just use the sprayer with hot water and it will be clean. It's the first set of pots and pans that I have seen that you don't have to literally scrub clean. It's amazing and I love the Calphalon Unison Cookware.
