Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com ) offers this Gen 2 RFID reader/writer operating in the frequency range of 902.75MHz to 927.25MHz. The reader is comprised with a high-performance, circularly polarized antenna, which ensures a simple, affordable and low profile RFID installation. The optimized reader is equipped with a port for a second external antenna connection that makes it suitable for both single and dual antenna applications.

GAO RFID Inc.'s Gen 2 RFID reader/writer, model 216003, supports RFID tag protocols such as EPC Gen2 and ISO 18000-6c. A well-documented SDK featuring .NET and Java libraries enables easy development of custom interfaces to control the reader. The reader is also shipped with handy Alien RFID Gateway software enabling the user to begin solution development immediately. Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability allows power to be delivered over properly-equipped local area networks eliminating expensive AC wiring installation. A standard AC/DC power converter is offered in case PoE is not available. It has two inputs and two outputs; it also has LED indicators for power, LAN link, RF-on and fault.
