Greg and Suzy were truly happy when their family got bigger

. Alexa was born in January, and by April Suzy felt that she was going to go crazy locked up in the house. Of course, she was not really locked up, she could come and go as she wished but she found that with the baby it was not so much her wish but the baby's.

Suzy lived in Chicago all her life and she thought she had seen enough houses and enough people to last for a lifetime. She wanted to move. Not to the suburbs but somewhere out.

Greg thought Suzy needed some time off from tending to the baby and suggested that Suzy may want to go back to work. But Suzy wanted something different. She didn't want to stay at home but she wanted to be with the Alexa as much as possible for a couple of years. So Greg had the idea. They should try and invest in an RV. He consulted with his boss about telecommuting. It would be only temporary, for two years. And they said OK. Greg and Suzy were elated and spent two years on the road in their RV with Alexa. They never regretted this choice as their family became stronger and more grown-up as they travelled widely in the country and they have seen many people and many lives.

They thought they would not want to lose this experience and would travel in the RV in the coming years. When they arrived home to stay they realized that storing the RV would pose some problems. For two years it was their home but now they had another home so they had to find a solution. The garage was too small for it and when they learnt about RV covers, tire covers, animals that like living under the covers and especially, the price of the covers, Suzy and Greg thought they wanted no part of this.

There is public storage, of course and there is no question it is professional and controlled environment, but they found it somehow too impersonal. They realized now that they became very self-sufficient and have little patience with things they can't control.

They wanted something solid that provides protection from the sun, rain, sleet, hail and snow, something that keeps animals and bugs out and most of all, is close by and they can see they still have every day.
