Kerman Friday Mosque is a prominent example of the Muzaffarid architecture, which was built by Amir Mobarezeddin-e-Mozaffari-e-Meybodi-Yazdi in 1350. Just after the death of Abu Sa'id of the IlKhanid dynasty in 1335, the Muzaffarids came to power and reigned over the country till 1393. Situated approximately 900 km to the south-east of Teheran, Kerman stands at the center of the axes which join the south with the north and the west to the east.
