You will tell them that this pet is theirs and it will be up to them to take care of it. This might start out this way at first but most of the time you get stuck with the animal.Your children do not mean to do this but it happens. To them the novelty wares off rather quickly as with everything they get. You will need to stress this point to them and make them think really hard before getting one. Most families in this country have a pet of some kind and they had gotten the pet for their kids. The longer you have this pet the more attached you all get to it. You might even find that with some this pet will become like a member of the family. This pet can be put on your car insurance if you have the right one. This pet has its own doctor in which to take them to when they are sick. You can even have them cremated when they die. You can even find a urn to put their ashes in.
You might find that this pet of yours especially if it is a dog can have a sweet tooth. It is important to remember that this is something that your pet should not have. This is especially true with chocolate. This stuff can actually kill your pet so just keep it from them. With having a pet there are so many things that you will have to watch for. They will need their food of course. This might be dog food or table scraps. They are going to need their shots just like getting those that are required for your kids.
You will need to make sure that their nails are cut. They have to be given baths whether it is by a dry shampoo or put in tub of water. If they get sick you will have to take them to their doctor for shots and medicine. They do require brushing their hair so this helps in keeps their skin free of unwanted bugs and knots. The longer you have your pet it will become to be your best friend and companion. Give it love and the love you receive back will be ten fold.
