They are good for crossing large rivers or lakes especially in areas that are very deep and one cannot swim across. Boat making has now been modernized with the introduction of the ones that are motorized. However, Africans have a high regard for the un-motorized ones because they help one to exercise and participate. You can enjoy boat rides in all lakes and big rivers in Africa.
