What To Do If You Want Children But He Doesn't
We all have our own goals and interests in life
. That is why, when it comes to relationships, it is certain that disagreements will occur. Fortunately, usually they are rather easy to solve. However, this is not always the case.Although people can learn to live together and love each other for all the good and bad qualities of their mates, some things such as life goals cannot be easily compromised away. One such irreconcilable difference in a relationship is when one person wants to have children and the other does not.
Typically, relationships start either as a friendship or because of physical attraction between two people. It is also common that people find a companion through mutual hobbies or people they know.
However, over time, when a couple learns to know each other better, they may find that their life goals don't match very well. If you have divergent views of the place you should live, finance, and children, you may start thinking whether you are living with the right person.
Nevertheless, this doesn't mean that your relationship won't work. But, even though you should respect other people's wishes, it doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice your own dreams.
There are many examples of people who have sacrificed their dreams in order to let their loved one to achieve his or her own. In these types of situations the person who has abandoned their goals will often regret that decision in the future.
This is the trap many people have been caught in. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to marry or be with them.
Individuals should know what makes them happy and pursue those things. For women, having a child and a family can be a powerful desire. But, some women fall head over heels for a man who has no desire to have children.
When pressured to have children, men will often times take flight and leave such a relationship. Women who make sacrifices not to have children so that they can keep their man by burying their desire to have a child and a family, seem to always suffer in the end.
Avoiding the pain and loss of a love by sacrificing your life dreams and goals is not the road to happiness, and is not the answer to this relationship problem. Sometimes in life we have to lose to gain.
If you find yourself in a similar situation, try not to look only at the moment. Instead, focus on where you see yourself in five or ten years. You may not like what you see. Life is not easy, but it's your life and you can find happiness with someone who shares your dreams.
