Outsource Tasks Effectively Through Clear Job Description
I'm always getting content written and always having issues finding places to outsource tasks and get content written
. Recently I've found a site called The Content Authority and they have really fast turnaround on articles and it is super high quality. I ordered something like thirty articles and they were done in a day and a half and super high quality. You can grade your quality based on $1 per two hundred words, $1.50, $2 and you get quality back based on how much you're willing to spend and just really fast turn around and high quality.
On articles as well, another good place is Need An Article. That's another one depending on what quality that you're needing, that works really well for Ezine Articles and blog networks and those types of things. For Filipino workers there is best jobs website.
It may be interesting to consider how to write a job spec for a particular outsourcing project work. I had the idea of taking a podcast content and turning it into slide show presentations. Obviously with YouTube, they have to be cut down to ten, fifteen minutes. So taking a thirty to forty minute podcast and essentially cutting up the audio and putting up main points on a slide show and posting it on YouTube.
You can go to Elance and to the section under Hire, there is a job section. The name of the job is, it's got to be a descriptive name, don't make it a fun name, just Podcast to Powerpoint Video, it's pretty self explanatory. We can convert the podcast, why not?
Something to keep in mind is how this is going to appear and what would be instantly recognizable to someone when they saw it listed among all the other ads? Don't try and do fancy copywriting, or make it fancy, just very clear and direct when you want to outsource tasks.
Let's make the starting line 'Here's an easy job for someone who knows what they're doing.' So objective is where we start. 'We are after a series of videos that we can post to YouTube which is the audio from a podcast series matched with some Powerpoint slides.' That is the objective. /So the job description is where you get a bit more detail. 'We can supply the audio podcasts which are approximately thirty minutes long each. We require someone to take the audio and create a Powerpoint slide session with relevant images and bullet points, text, bullets, headlines that match the audio.'
Let's get more defined here, in a half hour video, how many slides do you want? We'll say fifteen, one every two minutes.
A fifteen slide Powerpoint presentation. So you get more specific here. You want fifteen slides done. Then record/manage the audio podcast to the slides to produce a screen capture style video. Given we are wanting to upload the video to YouTube, you will be required to cut the presentation/video into fifteen minute segments. That's basically the job description. We can say, give us a price on one podcast.
This is a trial for ongoing work.
There are thirty podcasts, but do one and nail it and then you've got the rest.
I would put the output as a separate thing. 'We require the provider to supply a) the final video in let's say MOV format or AVI format, whatever format we want it in. I would also say b)'The Powerpoint slides in either Keynote or Powerpoint format.' What I would do with this then, just as a side note, is I'd put the slides up. That can get some other back links, that is a separate thing.
I'd ask for 'Proof of image copyright approval.' If you're going to use photos, you want to make sure that they're not snatching photos off Google Images and you getting caught. You want to cover yourself so they provided you with that so you've got your coverage for that.
'This is a trial for ongoing work. We're looking for someone who can do this for our series of thirty podcasts but we are starting with just one as a trial.' Then we're going to have references and examples. I'd go onto YouTube or slides, spend twenty minutes and work out ones there that I like. 'Here are some other examples by people who have done similar things. Here are five YouTube videos.'
So I'd be putting those examples and giving some because so many people would just give that job brief prior to this. But slide shows can be anything. They can be black and white, they can just be text, they can be images with text, there are a lot of different ways slides can be presented. You want to find the style that you want to fit with your brand by giving that visual reference.
'You can view/listen to the podcasts here...' Then also there you want to say, we want to load these up onto our blog as well here so they get a feel for the branding of Small Business Big Marketing which is a fantastic podcast everyone should listen to if they want to outsource tasks related to web-based small businesses soon.
