Modelling 'doesn't Have To Stop When You're Pregnant'
The worlds of modelling and pregnancy do not often go together but one professional
has set out to prove glamour does not necessarily cease when you are starting a family.Nicole Francis, who secured a contract with Fake Bake after competing against fellow hopefuls on an ITV show fronted by footballer's wife Coleen Rooney, is promoting the idea that mums-to-be are both sexy and stylish, the Crosby Herald reports.
The 26-year-old may provide hope to those using modelling agencies to get work but who also plan to have children at some stage.
She is heading a maternity range by Wallasey designer Neil Paul Cooper, who has made clothes for the likes of Alex Curran in the past.
Meanwhile, the determined northerner has also completed underwear modelling shoots to promote a selection of maternity wear at a store in Liverpool.
Commenting on the issue, Ms Francis said: "It is to show women can still look glam with a bump. It's just to say to women to embrace it. It's about enjoying it and picking out the positives. Pregnant women can still be feminine and sexy. I still go to parties, though obviously I don't drink."
According to the model, her partner Edward Donaldson is proud of her work and thinks the pictures "look great".
Indeed, the pair have been asked to do joint shoots by a number of companies, she revealed.
She has also done swimwear shots. On this, she commented: "It's a different kind of look that you're trying to pull off. It's been nice and it's helped me to keep trim knowing that I've had to do them."
Before winning the ITV show and securing her modelling contract, Francis was working in the music industry, performing in a band called I-Candi. She may have got her talent from her father, who also toured playing gigs.
