Rather, they are set by law and are enforced as well. You have the right to protect your ability to hear and often, workers compensation insurance provides you with protection from these risks.
If you have had a hearing test that did not go well, your doctor can tell you what steps to take to overcome the risk. Keep in mind that you should have proper screenings at least one time a year if you work in a noisy location, no matter what decibel of sound you are exposed to on a regular basis.
