If you are qualified for some of those hard-to-fill positions, or specialize in certain special skills, there will be umpteen choices for you.
Decide Where
Is there a specific place you want to go to? If this is the case, you need to research the country's market, and see if there are adequate openings in your field of expertise. You need to do your homework well. If you are flexible as to where you want to work, there may be more opportunities awaiting you.
Search Methodically
You need to sit down and plan how you are going to start searching for your dream job. Posting you resume in the Internet, and keeping your fingers crossed is not going to work. Check companies that interest you, and what kind of a future you will have when you work there. There are many ways to go about this, a few are international job fairs, job sites (specializing in international jobs), corporate websites, etc. Seek out global employers, you have a better chance of succeeding with them.
Why work abroad?

Having contacts that can help you find your overseas job, is very important. These people will not only let you know the job opportunities that pop up, but will help expand your network as well. Find ways to keep expanding your network.
Prepare
All your primary interviews will be conducted long distance, such as video conferencing, telephone, chat or via e-mail. Prepare yourself beforehand and brush up on all that you need to. Show confidence and enthusiasm. Make yourself an ideal candidate for the position offered. If they want you to fly down immediately, then do so. This will show your commitment and seriousness towards the job.
Call and Ask
Any queries you have, call them direct and ask. If you are not too sure about your contract or certain clauses in your contract, it never hurts to call them and ask.
Think twice
This is not a decision to be made in an impulse. Think it through, and if you are someone who doesn't like to take risks or cannot adjust to a new environment easily, this may not be the right decision. If you are planning to take your family abroad, think again if it will be suitable for them.
