Disney items and paraphernalia are widely available in retail and department stores, so you save time and money.

Every kid has their own favorite Disney character, depending on his or her age, gender, preferences and personality. Here is how you can effectively decorate a kids room in Disney theme:

Toddlers you can't go wrong with Disney babies. Baby Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto are perfect companions for your toddlers. Disney babies are available in light and pastel colors. Complete the room with Disney baby stuffed toys so your baby has a companion when sleeping.

Boys aged 4-7 Young boys during this age will usually find new interest in animals. Why not decorate their room in a Lion King inspired theme? Or how about going underwater with a Finding Nemo Disney theme? Cars' is another very popular theme for boys of this age group.

Girls aged 4-7 Most young girls of this age group will be obsessed with princesses. They are little princesses of their own and they're room is their kingdom. Decorate their bed to look like a carriage. In their bedside table, you can even include a tiara and wand. Decorate their room according to their favorite Disney princess: such as Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella, Snow White or Tinkerbell.

Boys age 8-12 Kids around this age will appreciate the Toy Story theme. Pain their rooms with the bright blue background with fluffy clouds. Their bed can look like the one Andy has in the movie, or Buzz Lightyear's space ship.

Girls age 9-12 By this time many girls have outgrown the Princess stage. Tweens are now having a new interest: boys. A popular theme is High School Musical and Cheetah Girls.

You can stick to a single theme or choose several in a room. If your child loves plenty of Disney movies and characters, what's the use of sticking to one theme when you can have two or more? Ask your child what he or she wants and you can decide on the interior decoration of the room together.

Choose a color palette and stick to it. Ask for your child's favorite colors and incorporate it into their room as much as possible. Kids will appreciate bright and fun colors, but avoid choosing colors that are too loud. Stick to pastel and light colors to relax the eye. Harsh colors can cause stress and lessens concentration. Choose a palette wisely because it's something your child will live through everyday.

Finally, decorating a room will entail some expenses. Set a budget on how much you are willing to spend and stick to it. Disney items, furniture and memorabilia can be expensive, but that doesn't mean you can save a few bucks! Search the internet for discounts and unique and fun Disney items.
