Another place to put on your agenda which will require more than a day out is the city of Seville, capital of Andalucia. This illustrious city shines like a diamond in the sky that is magnified by its atmosphere, culture and a beauty not found anywhere else. Seville is so rich in history that you can't possible see it all in one day. Stop at the local tourist information centre where you can pick up information on the most important sites that you can visit in a short time.
If you are looking for a village with an abundance of Arab influence look no further than the city of Ronda. This historical village sits on top of a steep windy road from Marbella. The city is bisected by a fantastic gorge that has three bridges connecting the two halves. The city itself has some beautiful old Moorish buildings of historical interest with a medieval defensive wall encompassing the city or whats left of it. Ronda is also home to the oldest bullring in Spain plus a lot more if you have time.
If you are up for a little duty free shopping then venture over to Gibraltar. It is here that you will find the famous Gibraltar glass wear, leather goods, silks and wine. To keep the kids busy while you are shopping there are some interesting attractions along with excellent views over the area. A trip here will allow you to discover the strategic importance of the Rock of Gibraltar and while you are here there are the well known San Miguel caves and the monkey reserve that the children will find interesting.

This old coastal fishing village exudes a true Andalucian culture that we are all in search of when we come to Spain. If you are a pot holder you will be in heaven with the prehistoric caves and their 30,000 year old rock paintings. This ancient town has too much to offer for you to take in on one holiday; you need to return time and time again to do it justice.
