Appreciate The Job That Your Veterans Do For You
You may not be able to tell who your veterans are by just looking at them but then again sometimes you can
. Sometimes there are visible physical signs of the stress that the veteran has endured such as missing limbs, scars, canes or a limp. Most times they dont advertise who they are but many times they will bear some sort of visible sign. Some of them may wear a ring or other small token of their time in service. Some may move around slowly because they have injuries that the naked eye cant see.The fact that you see so many veterans who are homeless or financially distressed is a tribute to the lack of support that they get from the military after they have been discharged. The military needs people more during times of war. After the war is over they are weeded out or simply discharged to save money. As far as Im concerned that just isnt right in any way, shape, or form.
Our veterans have been through absolute hell while serving their country and should be appreciated more by the government that they have given their life and limb to serve. Our veterans have served in the worst possible conditions, in some of the worst possible places, under some of the worst possible circumstances that you can imagine. They have no way of escape when they find themselves in dire circumstances, nor can they decide to just quit and go home because the military will not allow it. You cant really appreciate what these troops have done for you unless you have been through it.
If we can just take a moment to appreciate the issues that veterans have to face we will appreciate them more. It is hard to anticipate a reality that we never had to be involved in but veterans know the gravity of their job which is the reason that they willingly endure negative situations and the negative circumstances that they have to endure.
The veteran is an extraordinary human being, a person who offered some of this life's most vital years in the service of his country, and who sacrificed his ambitions so others would not have to sacrifice theirs.
He is a soldier, savior and a sword against the darkness. He is nothing more than the finest, greatest testimony on behalf of the greatest nation ever known. So remember, each time you see someone who has served our country, just lean over and say, "Thank you!"
Thank them for the terror that they endured during wartime knowing that they had to face the situation because there was no way to escape it. Thank them for the physical hardship that they had to endure while living in places where the climate and the weather are onerous. Thank them for the myriad emotions that they experienced all at the same time. Imagine feeling fear, anger, hunger, cold, abandonment, and hate all at the same time.
Our veterans come in all shape and sizes, races, colors, and religions. They may be executives at large fortune 500 firms or the janitor at your elementary school. You may or may not know them when you see them but the one thing that you need to do is to love and respect them.
Remember that if it were not for the many sacrifices of your veterans over the years you would not enjoy the freedom that you now have. Military Ring Express
